The automation system developed for the BASF Sulfonation Production Plant was implemented by Sankotek to manage chemical production processes safely, without interruption and with high efficiency. Using a PLC and SCADA infrastructure, all critical points of the production process were made centrally observable and controllable; operator management, alarm tracking, process monitoring and data management were combined in a single integrated automation platform.
