A mobile micro dosing unit is an operator-assisted dosing system developed for processes that require many different raw materials to be dosed in small quantities with high precision. It is preferred especially in production involving additives, pigments, chemicals and special formulations.
The system works according to recipes created on the SCADA or operator panel. The products in the recipe and the quantities to be dosed are shown in sequence on the screen followed by the operator at the weighing station. Following the product and silo/hopper number shown on screen, the operator positions the mobile dosing unit (with its dosing container and scale) under the relevant feed point.
Operating Principle
The operator adds material manually to the dosing container placed under the relevant hopper. Integrated load cells monitor weighing in real time. When the target weight is reached, the operator presses the confirm button and the measured value is recorded automatically.
If the weighed value is within the tolerance defined for the recipe, the system shows the next raw material on screen. If it is out of tolerance, the system warns the operator that the dosing is incorrect and asks for a correction.
Automation and Control
Mobile micro dosing units are PLC-controlled and monitored via an operator panel or SCADA system. The system:
• Manages the recipe sequence automatically
• Records weighing values
• Notifies the operator of incorrect dosing
• Generates batch and production reports
Advantages
• High dosing accuracy even for very small quantities
• Flexible, portable design
• Recipe-based, traceable production
• Low investment cost
• Safe, operator-controlled dosing
Applications
Mobile micro dosing units are widely used in food, chemicals, paints, plastics, masterbatch and similar industries, in all applications that require precise dosing of additives and micro ingredients.
