Big-Bag Filling Machines

Big-bag filling machines are industrial filling systems that fill powder and granular products into FIBC (big-bag) sacks quickly, safely and with high precision. They are preferred for high-capacity packaging in many industries such as cement, mining, chemicals, food and building materials.
During filling, the big-bag is weighed continuously and the fill quantity is monitored in real time by load cells. When the bag reaches the target weight, filling stops automatically. For high filling accuracy, the system uses two-stage filling (fast/slow feed) and automatic pre-cut algorithms.

Operating Principle

The big-bag is placed in the filling station and attached to the lifting hooks. After the bag inlet is connected to the filling spout, filling starts and the material is transferred into the bag by the feeding equipment. As the target weight approaches, the system switches to slow filling and completes the fill at the required net weight. After filling, the bag can be removed from the station automatically or manually.

Automation and Control

Big-bag filling machines are PLC-controlled and monitored via an operator panel or SCADA system. Through the system you can easily manage:
• Target fill weights
• Fast / slow filling settings
• Tolerance and pre-cut values
• Alarm and fault monitoring
• Filling and production reports

Feeding Options

Depending on the application and material properties, the following can be used:
• Screw conveyor
• Belt conveyor
• Rotary valve
• Vibratory feeder

Advantages

• High filling accuracy and repeatability
• High-capacity, fast filling
• Dust-free, safe operation
• Design that improves operator safety
• Compatibility with different big-bag sizes

Applications

Big-bag filling machines are used reliably in the cement, mining, chemicals, plastics, food and building materials industries, in all applications where high-tonnage products need to be packed.
