Liquid batch dosing systems are automation solutions that measure and dose liquid raw materials in batches according to a recipe with high precision. They are widely used in chemicals, food, paints, pharmaceuticals and similar processes where several liquid raw materials must be mixed in set ratios.
Depending on the process, liquid batch dosing can be based on weighing (load cells) or flow measurement (flow meters). In weight-based systems, the weight gain of the dosing vessel or tank is measured and dosing stops when the target quantity is reached. In flow-based systems, the flow is monitored continuously and the valve or pump closes automatically when the set volume or weight is reached.
Operating Principle
According to the recipe selected by the operator, liquid raw materials are fed into the dosing tank or mixer in a defined order. When the set value for each liquid is reached, the system automatically moves on to the next raw material. When all raw materials have been dosed, the batch is complete and the mixture is transferred to the next production stage.
As the target approaches, two-stage dosing (fast/slow) and pre-cut algorithms increase dosing accuracy.
Automation and Control
Liquid batch dosing systems are PLC-controlled and managed via an operator panel or SCADA system. Through the system you can easily handle:
• Recipe creation and editing
• Batch size and dosing sequence
• Pump and valve control
• Weight or flow tolerance settings
• Alarms, monitoring and reporting
Advantages
• High dosing accuracy and repeatability
• Flexible, recipe-based production
• Suitable for liquids of different viscosities
• Automatic reporting and traceability
• Less operator intervention
Applications
Liquid batch dosing systems are used reliably in the chemicals, food, paints, detergents, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and similar industries, in all processes that require batch production and high-precision liquid dosing.
