Bag filling machines are industrial packaging systems that fill powder and granular products into bags at set weights quickly, safely and with high precision. They are widely used in many industries such as food, chemicals, cement, mining, plastics and building materials.
During filling, the bag is weighed continuously and the fill quantity is monitored in real time by load cells. When the bag reaches the target weight, filling stops automatically. For high accuracy, the systems use two-stage filling (fast/slow feed) and automatic pre-cut algorithms.
Operating Principle
An empty bag is placed on the filling spout by the operator or an automatic system. When filling starts, the material is transferred into the bag by the selected feeding equipment. As the target weight approaches, the system switches to slow filling and completes the fill at the required net weight. After filling, the bag can be sent automatically or manually to a closing unit (sewing, sealing, etc.).
Automation and Control
Bag filling machines are PLC-controlled and managed via an operator panel or SCADA system. Through the system you can easily set and monitor:
• Target fill weights
• Fast / slow filling settings
• Tolerance and pre-cut values
• Alarm and fault monitoring
• Filling and production reports
Feeding Options
Depending on the application and product properties, the following can be used:
• Screw conveyor
• Belt conveyor
• Rotary valve
• Vibratory feeder
Advantages
• High filling accuracy and repeatability
• Fast, efficient packaging
• Dust-free, safe operation
• Compatibility with different bag types and sizes
• Manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic operating options
Applications
Bag filling machines are used reliably in the food, chemicals, cement, mining, plastics and building materials industries, in all production plants with small and medium-volume packaging needs.
